Update: SmartHost™ by Xplorie

As a reminder: In 2021 and 2022 we began using an Xplorie-connected Alexa Dot in each property. This allowed us to gauge the level of guest interaction and value that an in-room device provided. We were pleased with the response and it proved to us that having an extra, personalized point of contact that made tasks easier, was valuable to the guest. In 2023, as part of our ongoing commitment to elevate the guest experience, we decided to incorporate Xplorie's newest program, the SmartHost™ Device with Alexa, into all of our properties. We invested $17,500 to purchase a SmartHost™ Device for each property and provided this service at no additional cost to our owners. SmartHost™ is the first in-unit, fully personalized, interactive hospitality guidebook that uses voice technology (Alexa) to provide all the information guests need to enjoy the perfect vacation. From answering common questions to critical travel alerts and curated activity recommendations, SmartHost™ has it covered.

Now, with the completion of the adoption, installation, and integration phases in 2023, our focus in 2024 shifts to the next phase: fully connecting guests and units with the capabilities and convenience of this incredible technology. A week before their arrival, guests will receive information on how to utilize the property's SmartHost™.They will have access to information and answers to all of their questions about the unit before their vacation, enabling them to prepare accordingly. This includes details such as the type of coffee maker in the property, weather forecasts, and the proximity of the nearest grocery store. Upon arrival at the unit, the SmartHost™ will be pre-programmed with video content tailored to the specific unit. This content will include information such as instructions on operating the remote control, locating the thermostat, understanding why the AC turns off when the door is open, and finding the garbage chute. This seamless integration of technology enhances the guest experience by providing them with comprehensive information and guidance throughout their stay. By leveraging the capabilities of SmartHost™, guests can feel more informed and prepared, allowing them to fully enjoy their accommodations without any unnecessary hassles.
